I'm a Pirate. No, not that kind of pirate. My kids and I play pirates while we are driving in the car to keep things interesting. Trust me it gets about as interesting as it can between a 38 year old dad trying to act like he is 4 and a 2 and 6 year oldboy and girl trying to act like they are 38. Play acting with my kids is just another way that I keep my mind young and fresh, able to think of new ideas and solutions that might not be readily apparent to "normal people". Arrgh! What am I good at? I am good at logical analysis of situations and finding creative solutions that work within a set of pre-determined guidelines, coding web sites for functionality and accessibility, corporate web design for small companies that want to look much larger and want to compete in the worldwide marketplace, designing sites for my client and their users, not necessarily for my own tastes. I am good at customer service, teamwork as a member of the team as well as when I am leading the team, spending every bit of time required to satisfy a deadline or to fulfill my word to a customer. If I say it will be done, then it gets done or I don't leave until it is finished. What am I bad at? Punctuality, the worst thing ever created by man in my opinion is a time clock, agreeing for the sake of agreeing. If I think that there is an issue or problem, I will generally try to explain that problem in as gentle a way as possible, if that doesn't work, then I have a tendency to be blunt. Being a non-smoker, I am terrible at not smoking, but I work through it a single craving at a time, and I am beating the heck out of it on a daily basis. What do I work with? I work with the standard programs for web development (Photoshop CS, Image Ready CS, Illustrator CS, Dreamweaver MX2004, Flash MX 2004, and After Effects) I also use programs that are not considered part of the norm such as 3D Studio Max, Uedit32, Notepad, and Livemotion. Most of what I work with is a pencil and paper. Placing an idea on paper before touching a mouse or pen/tablet is how I tend to work through issues before I get started digitally on a site or application. I am available for Freelance or for Full-Time Employment Currently. |
